The President of India,
The Supreme Court of India and the Central Government of India do not want to give minority status to Jains on National level, saying that this issue come under states. O.K., then how come there are ‘National Minorities' in India like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis etc, baring only Jains? Isn’t it clearly a case of discrimination against Jains?
Because of the Supreme Court and Central Government policy, Jains get no facilities even in the states where they are declared as minority community. The Prime Minister’s 15-point program for minority is not applicable for Jains. The newly declared scholarships for minority Communities from Prime Minister are not available to Jains.
Even some state governments, where Jains are declared as minority, do not give all facilities to Jains.
This petition is against such discrimination by Government of India against Jains.

advvivekvashishth wrote 233 Days Ago (neutral) 0Remove the minority status or reservation status from india.There is no need to give the minority status to any one.........because after jain community so many peoples will raise their voice for minority status and reservation status.I think we should remove the minority status from india bcoz every one is equal under the law so why some minority peoples are trying to get the benefit from the government.it mean they r weak to do something like passing the exams,jobs by getting the benefit of reservation and minority status bcoz unke pass kabiliyat nahi hai bus 100 will be passed and 150 will be failed. I am strictly against this system.we have to change this system.dont take it personal but i think kayar log hi reservation ki demand karte hain or intelligent persons study karte hain.0 points
